Kennison was a legend! I had forgotten so many appearances he did in the 80's.

the last comment i made shows i know everything about bill hicks....u say he "rarely" screamed....so?....he still screamed...just look at the one on youtube when he deals with a heckler....not even remotely as funny as kinison....it looks like a sad rip-off of kinison.....noone in their right mind thinks hicks is as funny or as great as kinison....once again,no chance....sam was far smarter than bill hicks....sam was a preacher, hicks couldnt teach kindergarten

Scratch that. THAT was the dumbest thing I've read all week. Everything? Nah, you still don't know shit. Ripoff? Hicks influenced Kinison, not only as a comedian, but as a friend. Kinison himself worshiped the ground that Hicks walked on. Anyone who can engage in critical thought could see Bill's greatness. Kindergarten? Yeah, he had more important issues to solve like world peace and reform, but then again people are stupid and wouldn't understand his messages anyway, let alone listen.

nope,it was kinison who influenced hicks...it was also hicks who stole from kinisons act....these are the facts....the main fact is that sam kinison is a better comedian than bill hicks....sam kinisons "louder than hell" comic album is considered the greatest of alltime by many comics...it isnt even sams best work,i have that album....sam might be the greatest public speaker who ever lived....kinison can make people laugh harder than they ever have before, and hicks cant

Hicks influenced Kinison, and Hicks didn't didn't steal any joke from anybody. Kinison could scream and yell all he wanted to, but he would never be able to top Hicks. It also doesn't matter what other comedians thought, it doesn't make them right. If you don't think Bill could make people laugh harder than ever, then you've never heard Bill Hicks, and I still doubt you have. I'm done with you now, because this is just a waste of time.

nope....look it up,and look at the material and how it is presented....hicks is a true follower....it is an undisputed fact that bills act was different before and after he saw sam kinison....this is a fact, not an opinion....richard pryor is a huge kinison fan...dennis miller said sam has made him laugh the hardest in his life...sam is so great there is a documentary about him with richard pryor, rodney dangerfield, jay leno, dennis miller talking about same....sam will be remembered forever

Bill Hicks is a comic god and no mistake, but IMO he let his left/liberal/tinfoil-hat-weari ng agenda take precedence over his comedy. Often when forced to choose between being funny and making some whacky left point he would choose whacky lefty-ism. To be fair I think he took way more comic risks than any comedian since his time and it often involved his whack lefty political outlook, but it just wasn't that funny on a lot of occasions.

Well at least that's a fair assessment, whereas you could've said "shut up, you're wrong" like some people, so I appreciate that. Personally I always thought he had a fantastic balance between comedy and radical ideas, which is why he strikes such a cord with me. I do understand where you're coming from though, because sometimes he had a tendency to take some statements far past the realm of comedy, but it took serious balls to do that. But I always thought he was funny, but that's just IMO.
