Off-road vehicle (ORV) use in Greater Canyonlands, including Indian Creek, Labyrinth Canyon, Tenmile Canyon, and Arch Canyon.

Utah Bureau of Land Management (BLM) designated approximately 2,500 miles of vehicle route in Greater Canyonlands, including routes in desert streams, on canyon rims, through areas known to have dense collection of archaeological artifacts, and in lands identified by the agency as having wilderness values.

SUWA is petitioning BLM to temporarily restrict use on less than half of these routes while the agency undertakes the studies necessary to the sound, long-term management of these natural and cultural resources and these unique and increasingly rare places.
