My own piano arrangement of "I Should Be Allowed To Think" by They Might Be Giants, recorded in glorious lo-fi! My piano is in the kitchen - marvellous accoustics don't you think?

  • Is it weird for me to call your hands attractive? Because that is exactly what they are.

  • @EvilEmoCupcakes Thanks.... I'm sure there are specialist websites for that kind of thing....

  • I posted it on another one of your TMBG entries but you would be so much more affective by slowing down a bit. Do it sloooow.... find the meaning in your fingers.

  • I do play a little fast sometimes, but these songs have energy, and that, for me, is the appeal. If you want slow songs listen to Celine Dion.

  • That's not what I'm saying... It's not a knock-down at all. I just think with your talent at piano playing and singing, you can find a that moment the song deserves. It has an almost sad equlaity to it in the lyrics. Just bring it down a tempo and make it your own. That's all I'm saying.

  • How can I make it my own by doing what you are saying? I made it my own by speeding it up.

  • piano in the kitchen... hardcore my friend, harcore.

    5/5

  • I think the tempo being brought up for the sake of energy is perfect. Bands end up doing songs faster live for the same reason. Trying to stick too closely to the recorded version of a song while doing a solo vocal/instrumental cover takes all of the charm away from a lot of the youtube covers I've seen. One person self-recorded will always sound diffferent than the original. Why not accept it?

  • That was awesome!

  • You, sir, have a delicious voice, and I am pleased as punch that you're using it in a way that lets me hear it.

  • This is so absolutely gorgeous.

  • This is fantastic. I prefer it against the original-- it just seems to have a stronger meaning with just piano. Your talent as a pianist really gives life to the song, too.

  • joy to listen to this. cheers mate~!

  • man great job you even sound like him

  • it'd only work if his first name was john

the johns and "eric" or whatever wouldnt be NEARLY as catchy

  • You've got the voice on LOCK my new friend.
