What I have found earliest: Beatles songs started to be issued in USSR in 1967... You mean 3-4 years of not allowing? In 60-70-80es cinemas were full of american and european films). And people were listening what they wanted to listen.

In 70s-80s everybody in USSR who wanted to listen Beatles, had to listen it. 60s unfort. I don't remember))). Pink Floyd, ABBA, Elton John and other musicians were with conсerts in USSR

@phiola Changes usely don,t come overnight, you can,t go from a total communist regime to the opposite. Who would ever thought this was possible, Mc Cartney playing live on Red Square and even Poetin being there. That,s a lot of change I would say, Beatles music was not even allowed in Russia at the time,correct me if I,m wrong!So no,we are not used to that, the army even being present at a concert .But is IS a big change !!!
