In Hero of Leaf Valley, Mining is a Blast!

This video gives a basic tutorial about Mining in Hero of Leaf Valley, the latest PSP Harvest Moon release by Natsume. It shows how the Mine is unlocked, three configurations for Chambers 1, 2 and 3 and the solutions to each 'puzzle'. It shows how the Underground Lake is unlocked as well as some of the artifacts and Treasures you can find there.

@eternalphatkid I have created a new webpage for all the Mining Puzzles in HoLV. There are screenshots of the 'before' and 'after' configurations, showing how the puzzle is solved for Chambers 1 through 5. As each Chamber can have two puzzles, both are shown. I will continue to add screenshots of the Chambers that are unlocked after the Mole Event.

@tortelli If you are using a Download instead of the official UMD, you will find that there is a BIG mining glitch that will not allow you to explore any more of the Chambers

@otartilniman I have this same problem, and it's almost winter and the path is still blocked, ponta told me the location of the underground lake but it is still covered with rocks.. any clue?

@LuckyRyo9989 I like this game so much better than Save the Homeland. It has 16 different Story Quests and you can complete as many as you like. Once you 'save the land', you can go on to the 3rd Year to marry and complete advanced farming options.

@otartilniman. It is possible that you would have to unlock the Mine (by working 5 times for Rudolph) before the new chambers will be unlocked.

@otartilniman In my game and in others, Ponta told me about the Underground Lake when I gave him the 21st Fish and requested a Fish Print. When I went to the Mine, the Underground Lake was unlocked. The 2nd Chamber was unlocked at the start of Summer, the 3rd at the start of Autumn. Cheats CAN ruin your game, however. I never recommend them.

i'm in my first year in HoLV, summer 20, and i've already got 20 fishprints from ponta and he even told me about the underground lake but whenever i go to the mines, the path to the underground lake is still blocked! the other path to the second chamber is also still blocked! why is this? i thought each chamber is automatically unlocked after every new season? please help. is this because of the cwcheat? did i get a bad copy of the game?

is this game fun? cause i loved Save the Homeland on the PS2 and this looks great but i would like an opinion before i buy.
