Original rehearsal version recorded in the Scout Hut in Aston Clinton and it is Diz Minnitt on Bass. Steve Rothery and Diz Minnitt played live together for the first time in 29 years as The Granmarstonberries in September 2011.
Amazing, I've got this on a demo tape, bought the first night I saw the band. Always one of my favorites, dissapointed it didn't make an EMI B-side. The version Fish did for his Yin CD is great.

I'm guessing this is when Diz Minnett was in the band. I had this on a Marillion bootleg I found in a record shop in Cleveland back in 1987.

Absolutely fantastic. This is one of the first ever recordings with Fish on vocals way back in 1980. Amazing stuff, thanks for posting.

Don't like this as much as how they originally did it.

Thankyou so much for posting this - I've been looking for these types of old Marillion demos/unreleased recordings for a while now.
Thankyou!
