Jake Shields is a great fighter. Lots of respect for the guy. He has some of the best Jujitsu in the UFC. However, on his feet is where he needs the most work by far. I think the one thing he needs to figure out is that he can't submit everyone.

@SaveSomeAnimals it wasn't the veggies that won him those fights it was his amazing grappling skills and wrestling, everyone of those guys were beating him standing.

Jake Shields controlled Hendo most of that fight (even without ground elbows allowed in SF at the time). Henderson has been on a tear taking the LHW title from Calavante...now beating Fedor - so thats a big feather in Jakes cap. I know MMA math doesnt always work out, but basically a welter-mid weight beat some heavyweights. Also he beat Condit and Okami who are the next title contenders. Veggies do a body good! Hope Shields taps out that punk Fake Ellenburger - although he is really solid too

@IBOOZLOTZ9919 There are three photos of Koscheck and Fitch after GSP fights and one of St Pierre after Shields fight. They all looked the same.
As Bloody Elbow and SBNation said: " Shields did more than anyone in along time--he made GSP look bad and that's saying a helluva lot...The last time a champ walked out hurt after losing the final rounds, the challenger was given an immediate rematch" (UFC104)
