  • How much do earmarks really add to the deficit; this is a sham issue.

  • @ThomasAnderson1949 Any waste of people's money is a worthwhile issue, isn't it? Also, earmarks are often used to encourage politicians to vote for other (often bad) legislation. I'd encourage you to google "A Voluntary Earmark Ban is Only Half the Battle" for a post we did on the subject which may be of interest. Thanks for commenting, Thomas.
