@AvatarCerys100 Means I've been giving you the wrong instruction WLMM is way different than WMM. In WLMM you click the add video button then to cut up the video go to...
1. Video Tool/Edit
2. click the Split button and where ever your paused at will be split in two clips.
3. you can also use the trim tools but split is easier and more precise.

@blukinoseXD i am using windows live movie maker! is that a problem?

@AvatarCerys100 You can eather check off a little box (that shows up on the import browser) or you can cut up the footage yourself (which is my preference). Select and play the footage then chossing a spot to "split" the clips you should see a little button on the bottom right hand side of the video player. there are two bottons there one lets you take pictures the other splits the clips. Unless... are you useing Windows Live Movie Maker? If so then it's different.

dont worry about all that stuff now! i downloaded youtube dowloader it took ages and it downloaded viruses but know it's all right but i cant do any downloading ever again! (bummer!) but thanks for ur help!
