darwin's theory is adaptation, and the movie is not about adaptation, but about intervention that destroys adaptation. so the title should be.....aliens destroy darwins theory.....but the film is about the ruthlessness of people, of banks, how money and affluence leads to exploitation, or perhaps how exploitation leads to affluence. bad title, great movie. the director has also produced other great videos about the misery of life on earth.

@JAKEHARRIS281 It doesn't directly, its saying that the problem is catastrophic and goes against Darwin's theory of evolution.

@tigerone1970 What does this movie have to do with Charles Darwin?

If Nile Perch is alien to the lake (which I accept), and it's destroying the natural cichlid fish population, and that leads to more bilharzia-transmitting snails surviving, causing rampant bilharzia among the people, then killing Perch can't be a bad thing. But do the big fish factories want to do themselves out of business? It seems strange, complaining about over fishing of Perch, while bemoaning the loss of nearly every other fish type, for which they're largely responsible.

@Spennis1982 Agreed!

@tigerone1970 I agree wholeheartedly.

You could make it clear that this small clip is from a documentary made by Austrian director, Hubert Sauper - and it must be seen in full to see the unbelievable tragedy that has destroyed half a country.
Europe has a lot to answer for their complicity in the horror that has killed thousands of people and brought great suffering.
Please credit the director: Hubert Sauper
Hubert Sauper is a great friend to Africa and your clip would not exist without him.
Thanks a lot.

@tigerone1970 In short: Our Money System is the problem. An Equal Money System and an Equal Labor System is the solution.
In fact, this foreign owned fish factory is a prime example of the IMF version of 'development'. Foreign businesses own the economy so they can 'efficiently allocate capital'.
There is absolutely no thought given to the development of local businesses, land reform (redistribution, not simply security of tenure reform).
If the land was redistributed to African farmers, and they were supported through government services and cooperatives, no one would go hungry in Africa.

This is the most horryfying documentary I have seen. I recommend it strongly, especially too everyone who complain in the west about "how poor their life is."
