@mriconsultant I think image quality with Pro and Multi is better than others. However, I've had more patient reactions with ProHance than any other contrast agents. All contrast contains gadolinium, a rare earth metal (yes that means you Pro and MultiHance) so the GFR of each and every individual patient that is injected is the only true means to completely prevent NSF. Fictionalizing a product is bad karma.

Technically IV contrast has a rare complication called nephrogenic systemic sclerosis. If you are a astute patient you will insist they use multihance or prohance which are safer forms of IV contrast which have never had any incidence of this complication when used alone. Many other facilities to save 20-30 dollars will use the less safe alternative. Please ask!
