  • I had a friend that was just about to add potassium hexacyanoferrate to HCl. Fortuantelly I stopped him and told him why not to!!

  • the reaction is when ferrocyanate ions interact with iron ions in solution. the interaction creates the compound ferric ferrocyanate or Fe7(CN)18 which is deep blue in color.
