@MichaelBarnes when folding stock, does your stock hit the charging handle? I ordered the same kit (DDLES) seems like everyone saying that it will hit charging handle when stock is in folt position..unlike 556 charging handle is much higher position on the receiver than 522

with the magpul CTR stock it does hit the charging handle when in the folded position

support side elbow is parallel to the axis of the barrel. if you referring to bringing my strong side elbow up that would be considered outdated technique, especially for a pistol gripped rifle. having the strong side elbow up is generally referred to as "chicken winging" in the shooting community.

hey man I've been eyeing your 522. In fact, I have one sitting in the shop. 10 day waiting period is ridiculous i know. I am gong with a config like yours. Like the adapter from DDLES, a CTR, and a miad grip. do i need a buffer tube ? and if yes which one? also did you duracoat the lower? Thx man.

you'll need a buffer tube, buffer tube endplate, and a castle nut. i used a commerical spec tube. yes the lower is duracoated.
