Silent Hill: Shattered Memories running on the dolphin emulator SVN 4968 in 720p HD.
The game can be played at full speed's in HD and even when fraps is recording. This goes to show that with a strong enough PC wii games on dolphin can be emulated quite well.

The game does lag a bit in the video due to the fact that fraps is running in the background.

There are a few graphical glitches around that you can see in regards to lighting and such but these a minor draw backs.

I skipped straight in game to avoid the long cut scene's at the start of the game.

Running the NTSC version.

Links to the emulator are on my channel.

Recorded using FRAPS 2.98

PC Specs:
-Intel Core i7 920 @ 3.8Ghz
-Corsair 6GB DDR3 1600Mhz C8D RAM
-XFX Radeon HD4890 1GB DDR5 (OC)
-Seagate SATA II 500GB HDD
-Corsair HX-650W
-Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit

My settings for the emulator are;
Core:
Dual core and idle skipping on.
to have progressive scan on.
I also have the watchdog setting at 60.
Graphics: Direct3d9
I have safe texture cache on, EFB to Texture, EFB to CPU enabled, and EFB scaled copy.
Audio: DSP-HLE:
I have the audio throttle disabled.

All other plugins are defaulted.

Enjoy the video and please rate.

  • is it possible to play without WII mote using mouse and keyboard ?

  • yea, im using a keyboard and mouse in the video.

  • @iNexXxuS when i try to play this game on dolphin emulator after the konami symbol it writes to me that i need numchuk. What i can do to repair it? Plz answer

  • @TAKERANTONIS in the wii remote plugin config, enable nunchuck as the emulated extension.

  • Anyone know why the black threads/artifacts are there in the light?

  • its just bugs in the game dude. If you have ram enabled the flickering disappears but the torch lights is all messed up instead and is a black shadow instead of light. I think this option provides the best visuals. They're not perfect but its still ok.

  • are those shadows problems fixed?

  • @wwpwowpt maybe you can assign a "shake" action as you said,,, But one thing I'm not sure yet (hadn't seen updates of this emu so far since a while...) is the possibility of emulate the movements of the wii mote and nunchunk... I have to check it out A.S.A.P.

  • @NeoNeitokun

i think you can assign 'shake' action in dolphin?

i see that option in wiimote setting

  • help me Whar's the configuration of Dolphin and the controlles please thanks

  • do you play the PAL version or NTSC?

  • @iNexXxuS I have a question: some time ago, I played this game in my PC, emulating the Wii mote and nunchunk with my keyboard and mouse... Everything went pretty fine, 'till I reached the first "nightmare" escape... Why? 'cause HOW CAN YOU DO THE Wii Mote and nunchunk MOVEMENT TO TAKE AWAY THE MONSTERS FROM YOU? I mean, how can you emulate with mouse and keyboard the directions that the screen indicates to "shake away" monsters? I've tried everything, but I couldn't. So I ended buying a PSPGo.

  • OK dude i will PRAISE u SO MUCH .... U say u use a mouse and a keyboard right ?

Then help me get the key out of the cola can cause obviously i can't....

Tell me the controls u set up and if there's a trick help me out please !!!

i can only shake the cans by moving the mouse up and down i can' turn them no matter.. anyone passed this part with a keyboard and a mouse pleas help me :) thank u very much

  • @Storm5hreds Thanks for the comment :) i've downloaded this game it works smoothly on dolphin :) the only problem now is the controller, i got a generic usb controller, it's hard to emulate or configurate the wiimote :( so i'm having trouble playing shattered dreams. yes it's the pcsx2 it's very slow.

  • @jerinian hello :) your specs are high end for dolphin's newest emulator build, so you'll be just fine

there are few games that run slow on dolphin nowadays.

As for the ps2 emulator it is surely the PCSX2 am i right? yeah that emulator is fairly slow and can't run many games at full speed, not even with a potent pc. I say give dolphin a try, hope i helped :)
