Here, two young men who have never sailed before take Steve's "Orange Appeal" out for a spin.

The sail is made from polytarp. It is a new boat with an old sail - the sail is two years old and has been sailed with on about 60 days. Experienced sailers will see some effects of the age.

However that sail only cost us about $15 to make - 2 years and so much sailing is not bad. Since then we have found a much better polytarp similar to the weight of normal sails and it is lasting much better.

Note how much better the boat goes when the two blokes sit a little further back to stop the front ploughing into the water.
