National Flag Carrier, Kenya Airways has announced a 17 per cent growth in its half-year profit before tax to 1.2 billion shillings. This was driven by sustained growth in its passenger traffic coupled by gains reaped from the weakening of the local currency against the US Dollar. However, the airline has admitted that its performance took a 1 billion shillings hit from the three day strike by its workers in August.
