Hawkwind - Elric the Enchanter

The best band ever(in my opinion) caught in a melodramatic moment ;-) My first Hawkwind upload! I chose this clip for many reasons, but mostly because I am obsessed with "Live Chronicles" at the moment. Huw Lloyd-Langton on lead guitar is blindingly original as ever, but I want to know what Synthesizer is making the odd DOWNWARD swooping effect? (0.23/2.15) It's just brilliant and scary ! Can anyone tell me please ? Ta.

@TheIceDragonlady i used to collect the morcock books,used to get them from alittle bookshop for pence,i had over 80 of them, but had to sell them...big mistake! the old covers are so hawkwind its untrue..

i really love their adaption of moorcock... this band would be amazing even if lemmy never got famous, a bit more obscure perhaps, but still amazing...

I have read all the Eternal Champion series of books from Elric to Erekose and beyond the '3 who are one'. I only have the Dreamthief's Daughter I know she is born of Elric and The Dreamthief because as she leaves Elric behind; the book says about the child he doesnt know she carries. This all worked so well with Hawkwind and Moorcock one hell of a partnership.

I saw Hawkwind at the wyvern theatre in Swindon...What a night that was...Everyone "Lit up" For Assassin!

There is some footage of them using synthesizers in the Hawkwind documentary they have on YT now. Apparently, they had roadies up onstage with the synths reading the manuals as they played.

My last Hawkwind concert was seeing this concert atMalvern winter Garden in the winter of 1985. Perhaps I should go and see them again one day ;-) and in reply to some comments below, I do have a blue vinyl Levitation AND the Night of THe Hawks Ep on vinyl :-)

and then they got shot of alan davey..........hawkwinds biggest mistake to date, especially as they replaced him with a fat squarking ape who cant sing, cant play a bass or keyboard and looks a complete pratt
