@tresfleur What you said is true; however, in my opinion, the reason why some of the contestants did not speak English (whether they chose not to or didn't know English well enough to use it) is because international competitions like this are known as beauty pageants. Yes, intelligence, grace, independence, strength, and other characteristics are looked at but unfortunately, "beauty" is ranked higher than those other attributes.

In my opinion, the contestants should be able to speak English regardless how bad it is in any international beauty contest. That's it and that's all! If she can't then what is the meaning of being international here? Shame on both of these ladies!
