It wasn't until ages after I'd sold my C64 and all it's games (including this one) that I realised that the thing on the wall at 3.48 is a water fountain which refills your water jar.

The game was great with a SuperCPU. The game redrawing would speed up without affecting the actual game clock. You just had to drop the step length down to cope.
I managed to finish Total Eclipse 1 without cheating. Total Eclipse II was near impossible to win without cheating. The time limit was too tight and the catacombs were way too huge to traverse easily.
