this comment is for shoopdawhooperful. Yes u can light other things than vaseline coated cotton balls. Birch bark burns great so does the fluffy stuffing in cattails found near water among many many other natural things. Key is finding dry tinder and the right kinds. The vid may not be the best but these firesteels among other brands can be real life savers if ever in trouble or lost.

I have the EXACT SAME MODEL as yours, but i can't light anything except vaseline coated cotton balls with it! Any tips?
