@superbacon321 LOL! The Republican party of today isn't the same party of yesterday. In 1965, the racist left the Democratic party, and went over to the Republican party. This is actua history. I suggest you learn it.
Let's not forget that a largely democratic area San Francisco is highly racist. It has passed so many strict laws even a heavy white population has been forced to move (in addition to most blacks). In the largely republican south, the blacks still live in same communities as whites. Yet in largely democratic western California is likely twice as racist as any other location in America.
@slappymcgroundout Lee Atwater "You start out in 1954 by saying, "Ni****, ni****, ni****." By 1968 you can't say "ni****" — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites."
When the man who designed it admitted its racists, it's clear
If you call the Republican Party racist you obviously have no idea what you're talking about or know a thing about history. You are a mindless drone regurgitating what you've been taught.
The Republican Party was founded in opposition of the Kansas-Nebraska Act. Look it up and educate yourself.
@LindsaySmithKS, yet another gullible leftist dweeb still passing on the myth that democrat racists left their party and joined up with Republicans in the 1960s. The basic problem with this theory is that Republicans during that time were pushing hard for more civil rights for blacks and the democrats at the time were the only group opposing it. So what exactly was the motivation from racist dems to switch parties? None whatsoever. It's just bullshit lies from leftist racists.
Please, BLACK MEN WERE INVOLVED IN THE LEADERSHIP OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY FROM DAY ONE. There are tons of loony leftist out there that either don't know their history or want to change it. LBJ's Civil Rights Act was just Eisenhower bill that LBJ stuck his name on. Which the Dumocrats voted against when he was president. All Civil Rights laws have only been passed in spite of Dumocrats not because of them. I am 49 years old and out of the 100's of racist I've met, only 2 voted Republican.
