If you've ever been to a busy boat ramp, you know it can be a high-stress situation as people line up to get their boats into and out of the water, so here are a few dos and don'ts -- mostly don'ts -- on putting a boat in the water. KXLY4's Rick Lukens reports.

Bingo. If someone is taking a long time, and you want to go in, GO OVER AND HELP THEM. Helping them gets them in quicker, and you in quicker. Sitting there bitching about it does nothing.

  • That old man may be slow cuz he's old but holy shit he's an asshole, just put the damn boat in the water and get the fuck out of the way.

  • the best day in a boat owners life is the day he buys and sells the boat

  • @SoundOffAudio oh god you sound like a complete fucking retard

  • Just the kind of folks you have to watch out for and help, otherwise they are a danger to themselves as well as other. I see these guys every weekend that are amazed I can get my boat off the trailer,in the water, docked, and drive my truck to the parking area in 5-7 minutes tops. All it takes is practice until it's second nature and be set up BEFORE you get to the ramp. I've been luckier than the average joe being my dad taught me how to do this when I was about 12. Nothing to it.

  • It's not a buoy. It's a fender.

  • @ubercool86 Not sure who you are quoting, but it isn't me.

  • @CounterCultureLives "Yeah, my mate Fred taught me how to fly an airplane. Only took a couple of hours."

Really? You used airplanes as an example?

  • Ya lets enable the angry impatient boat launcher, try launching 10 feet up river from a bridge and rushing water, in gravel big guy.

  • Slow is your friend! Slower the better docking and such

  • the guy reminds me of phil hellmuth
