Sounds like a faulty one, as I had no trouble at all using mine,
and I'm not the birghtest person using this kind of stuff, and it's a brillint device, although I wished I had bought the multi-track one.

I CANNOT RECORD. I hit record the 2nd time & it appears to be recording, BUT NO bars for L & R showing up. (I had it set up to record standard large wave files) When I look at files it shows a wave, but when I play it back, there is NO sound. I put the memory card into my computer to look at the waves in Cool Edit Pro & the stereo tracks were EMPTY. I have read the manual 5 times. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with my recorder?
