This video is the proof that air scoops do work. I used a blower (low setting) to simulate the car in motion with air being blown into the inlets. One has a "ram air scoop" the other does not. Basically, air scoops feed more cool air into the intake, thus increasing throttle response, hp, and maybe MPG. The stock intake inlet is good but not as great as an air scoop. The turbos can breathe much easier with air being shoved in the intake. The Ideal speed for is around 55-90mph.

  • how much does a ram air intake cost

  • @jetsf001 $100-$200. Depending on what brand. get the cheapest brand. I made these from Home Depot. about 30 bucks.

  • nice bro! I ordered them and a lot of people say they are useless... Glad to see this video backed up my belief that they are useful and do work!

mom drives X6 and x3 hahahaha gotta love em.. first car was a 320i e36 :) was my moms car bfore

  • @Mazda6B6 Cant wait to see it. 370hp on stock motor is sick. I bet that thing will haul ass lol. And BMW rims are fucking expensive. Good thing for insurance.

  • @Russell042 Wow, same here. My family owns nothing but BMWs also. Yeah, unfortunately, some dicks stolen my wheels. I didn't have wheel locks. :( They were OEM wheels. They scratched the car also, very minor though. Didn't break in.... Insurance is paying for the loss and damages. So I was like heck, now's my opportunity to upgrade! Stage 2 is 350hp. stage 3 is 370hp+. My car is still in the shop getting repairs, but it's going to be fucking beast when finished. I'll post a feature video, soon!
