I built Dalek Storm back in the summer of 2008..He is based on a sketch done by the BBC artist Alan Marshall, Storm is mostly made from wood with a few plastic and metal parts, The whole point of building him was that the BBC never made it so i thought i would have a go and see if it could be done,
Storm stands around 6 feet tall 5 feet long and a little over 4 and a half feet wide,He is fully motorised and can travel at around 8 mph with me inside, There are loads of Gizmos fitted to him for illumination and he has some cool rotating fans on the back, He has 2 high power water cannons to catch unsuspecting enemies which can deliver 4.5 gallons per minute if required..Loads of people ask me all the time is storm real..can you get inside him Etc so i hope this video shows that ,yes he is a full size dalek and you can drive him..im not that good at doing voice videos but ive tried my best to give you a look around dalek storm both inside and out....Please visit www.dalekstorm.com for more information on current events and build status, and www.projectdalek.com for the full build diary of dalek storm, there is also a facebook group dalek storm where you can join in and chat and get regular updates....

  • BUT WILL IT EXTERMINATE?!?!?!?!

  • @AgentDudo It has done in the past and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future ,,,

  • That is one beautiful machine ... a thousand times better than those brightly coloured ones which the BBC introduced!

  • @straker1999 Thank you im pleased that you like STORM...

  • Steven Moffat needs to see this and take note - THIS is how you redesign something. They should seriously put this into the show.

  • @E101ification Yes i think they should too..so do a lot of others..it would make a great addition to the daleks as the ultimate special weapons dalek..imagine the action scenes that they could do...

  • Brilliant....I love it :)

    A work of art :)

  • wow. this is so amazing!

you not only made a feaking 6 foot tall dalek. which in itself is really epic.

but you gave it WATER GUNS and built it so people can actually get INSIDE!!!

it looks so brilliant, so strange, so wondrous, so different from anything else! yet there it is just sitting in the yard of a very normal housing area, minding its own business.

this is the best thing i have ever seen on the internet. :D

  • @swfandstorm Hi It is mostly made from 3mm Hardboard, the Hemis are Plastic and so are the guns, its all bolted to a steel frame that holds the wheelchair motors and batteries, i have 2 sets of batteries 2 x 55ah 12 volt these are for indoor events, and 2 x 70ah 12 volt for outdoor events, the bigger batteries are to power the Cannons.....

  • Thank you for the quick response, could I ask what materials you used for the outer body and what AH batteries did you use?
