Longtemps j’ai habité la banlieue. Mon premier souvenir est un souvenir de banlieue. Aux confins de ma mémoire, un train de banlieue passe, comme dans un film. La mémoire et les films se remplissent d’objets qu’on ne pourra plus jamais appréhender.

Ce titre est ironique comme un espoir dans un univers où il n'y a pas de place pour l'amour.L'absurdité de la misère ce n'est pas seulement le manque d'argent mais aussi la privation d'intimité, le sentiment d'exclusion et d'infériorité , et surtout le manque d'amour.

Hello JessieKang,

This short movie talks about the sadness and the nonsense of living in the suburbs.

PART 1 talks about the youth of the narrator, the boredom in the suburbs and the nonsense of the modern builings.

PART 2 talks about hidden shantytowns, insanity of working and retirement.

At the end ,8:58 of part 2 it says during the images of a hand of a statue "the hand of glory that orders and command can also implore. It just needs a simple change of angle."
