Mary's authorised version also has the lines "I am in the flowers that bloom,/I am in a quiet room./I am in the birds that sing,/I am in each lovely thing". Live and let live. This poem means a lot to some people.

  • Have you ever thought of reading Funeral Blues by W.H. Auden? I don't know if you have or not, this is the first video I've ever seen of yours. I think it would suit your voice...

    It's also a personal favorite.

  • To find a poem or poet, go to my channel page and put the name in the search box over the videos. I've read Funeral Blues twice and several more by W H Auden.

  • Who recites the poem?

I also found about it like famegirl666

    thanks to DH!

  • It's my voice, Violetta, I read all the poems in this channel.

  • At the age of 16, I recited this poem at my father's funeral. I do not remember where I first saw this poem, but it was a timely sighting and marked the life of a great man. Thank you for sharing this.

  • This is truly an amazing poem.

Every line is beautiful, but only when they are together.

  • What a great poem!

  • death is not the end its the begining

  • You have a wonderful voice.

  • Lovely

  • Luv it :)

  • Life begins when you die, to this world. What a wonderful poem.

  • Forgive me but I'm slightly confused by your "live and let live" remark. Are you saying you yourself are not a fan of the poem? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

  • this makes me and my mam cry! such lovely words !! xx
