This was a song that my Mum played on the piano and my Dad enjoyed listening to. Sadly she is no longer with us, but memories live on.

When radio programs were 15 minutes long, I can remember listening to Lanny Ross singing this as his theme. Loved it then .Still love it. Thank you for the memory.

I hold over 30 Mc Cormack 78's & I regret I never asked my old record dealers about this one. He was really an opera singer & classical song recitalist but he could make many a tin pan alley song sound like a fine arts masterpiece. The generation later operetta (movie) star (tenor) Allan Jones could do what McCormack did here also abeit a slightly different flavor. I think the orchestral accompianment here is conducted by Nathaniel Skilkret tho' the label of # 1092 does not credit him.

this song was sang at the funeral of Millvina Dean Titanic's last survivor.
I love this version of Moonlight and Roses.....it shows what those years were like ...so romantic ...and woman were so feminine.
