I can't imagine what these guys are thinking when they get in to that car... Well maybe I do, they're thinking about money. No doubt, but is that worth the risk. I guess when you compare it to everyday life, you're probably only raising your risk of dying by about .1 percent. I guess that's not bad considering that you get paid millions of dollars and the health benefits are completely taken care of by the sponsors. Whatever, check out these crazy Indy crashes.

Also, it would be really nice if someone would check out my Martha MacIsaac celebrity fan site. Check out MacIsaac at http://www.marthamacisaac.org

  • it was a bad crash... kenny brack almost died. the list of injuries are as follows: he shattered both of his ankles, they actually had to pick up some of his ankle bones off the track, he broke his right femur, broken sternum, broke two ribs, and broken back. his back was the worst injury in my opinion because he shattered his L3 when the car was spinning fast after the impact. also the two vertebrae on each side of the L3 separated allowing the spinal cord to actually come out partly.bad crash

  • quite violent... have u seen Gordon Smiley's crash???

  • oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he lived

  • The indycar series has the safest cars and the best safety team in all of racing... I would feel completely safe driving one at 225 miles an hour

  • This crash was at Texas Motor Speedway, and Kenny Brack, the driver who crashed into the catch fence, actually did survive. The sensors on the car recorded G-Forces up to 214 G's, a new record since they had been introduced. Believe it or not, Brack returned 2 years later to race again in the Indy 500. Also, I think it is ludicrous to say that these guys race simply for the money. They have been racing all their lives, and they do it because they love the sport, just like anyone else would.

  • Poor driver! More than half of the car was gone!! Smashed away!
