Mar. 20 - With the race between Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama becoming tighter by the day -- settling the controversy over votes in Michigan and Florida may be crucial for who becomes the Democratic nominee. Obama -- whose name was not on the original ballot in Michigan -- holds over a 150 delegate lead in the overall race, and has remained relatively silent on the issue.

Michigan Party leaders say the proposal to hold a revote is stalled and unlikely to be approved before this week's deadline. Florida Democrats have all but abandoned efforts to vote again.

Katharine Jackson reports from Washington.

  • so today on news it was asked so is the Dem's haters of blacks? no there are just many that will not vote for Obama becaues he is black that vote for Clinton! wait. That is what he asked isn't it? But I thought only GOP was like that isn't that what Dean said any way

  • hillary will get the popular vote..

who would vote for a man who would lead his children into church to listen to the words of rev wright. wouldn't most parents grab their kids and run out of there?

  • Please,.I watched the complete Obama Speech , 'A More Perfect Union',all 37:39 sec. of it.

I was amazed! Barack Obama's speech was the best speech I have ever heard. Yet everywere I turned I say misquotes, twisted reports and haterid. I started asking why. Out of over 200, my wife and I were the only ones who saw the full speech! Some had seen "Ya/but" local news Bites that he was defending Rev. Wright. Most of the rest got that message retold to them second hand.Thats why her numbers are up.

  • She knows that she's in trouble, and the more trouble she's in, the more dirty tactics occurs. That's the Clintons way. No, she doesn't get to go to the White House again, she does not get to collect $200. I am tired of her chipmunk face of hers, and she does not get my support.

  • she doesn't want to change the rules just for her, it is for you too, idiot

  • All of this devisiveness has brought this country to it's knees and is threatening our world...don't retaliate, reconsider.

My vote won't count (MI) for the primary...but I don't care, I'd rather it not count than the people (MI Legislature and Gov) who broke the rules be rewarded. DNC hold strong to original rulings.

  • OBAMA '08!!!!!!

  • Congratulations Democrats - You are doing everything to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

  • Clinton plays dirty politics. She want to change the rules in the middle of the game. Just like a kid. Someone should tell her to grow up. She is spoiled. I was for Obama, but I am quickly changing to republican.
