    I visited Nida several times in the 1990s and was struck by how beautiful and how peaceful it was. There was the added bonus that the chances of encountering any Brits was virtually nil.

    My mother was born not far from there when it was part of East Prussia. She tells stories of the lagoon teeming with fish. Half a century of Soviet pollution since 1945 put paid to that.

    Nevertheless, glad to see it still seems quiet and unspoilt.

    I fish a lot in the waters that empty into the lagoon; rivers such as the Dane and the Ekete system (lake and river) and am glad to report there are lots of fish still :)

  • Yes, I am agree with eweryone it is an amaizing place , i have been there!

    I think this is unique, white saands , the see denes, like a klifff. a lot of pines, and wery spescial climat, the coast is clear, and full iodine.
