Cablevision Problems again!

My internet is just as slow as dial up sometimes. I had problems with Optimum Online before and now it's even worse. They advertisement says up to 15/2mbps

And I thought it was just me. My modem has been dropping the internet connection on a daily basis. I even plugged the connection directly into my laptop but continued internet drops. Constant calls to tech support and even had a tech come to my home just to say everything is fine. The afternoons are awful. I have 30/5 and I'm lucky if I even get 10 Mbps. At night I dont even have 10 Mbps. Time to look into Verizon Fios

Yeah, Verizon Fios has dedicated lines so you won't be interrupted when neighbors are online. Optimum Online isn't good in every area.

Any idea why the OOL internet connection drops after 5-10 min of inactivity?

@headley77 I don't even get 3 Mbps EVER! My best ever was 2.319Mbps down and 0.66 Mbps up! ; (

I have the same damn problem!!! They have replaced everything from the outside post down to my modem! What the hell is causing this? Cablevision/optimum are to stupid to figure it out!
