Aerosmith covered the song on their 1974 album Get Your Wings. This performance was from August 16th 1974 on the Midnight Special. It was released as the second single from the album. The song has long been played on album-oriented rock and classic rock radio stations. Additionally, the song has long been an important staple in the band's live shows, often closing their shows. Additionally, the band is known to play two different versions of the song, the regular version of the song, as well as a slowed-down version often called "Slow Train" in the setlists.

Everybody in Massachusetts knew this band before their first album in 1971. I did too and I was only 9. I am glad I no longer live in Massachusetts or Connecticut because of homosexual marriage. Back in the day, this was the place to be.
