@konspiracykid And you know it! It's awesome being from the Capital of House music! We use to call them 'basement parties.' We had know idea it would blow up the way it did. CVS High School, KenwoodH.s., Hyde Park H.S. Mendel H.S. So much fun! Shout you to you my friend!

@konspiracykid So right mate. I was 16 in '92 when I got the bug. Moved to Manc to work in record shops and clubs purely coz of house music and it don't get much better than this! U know DJ Funk's ghetto remix from (I think '94)? Very naughty...

I first heard this in the mid 90's at an outdoor rave in rural illinois called Dreamfest..... a dj from san fran named Dante played it and wow...... it left an impression let me tell you, house isn't even my thing but I still got to hear this every so often just to go back to that time and place!

@konspiracykid We are the same age then, I was one of those 16 year olds in the clubs in NYC dancing holes in the floor to this!
The dancing back then was CRAZY, someone should put a vid of some of those songs and dances! The Kick Step was CRAZY when done right!

@konspiracykid i just think the UK had bigger nutters and more MDMA!! Thats why it exploded over here more than over the pond. I can't believe that clubs in the US were going as mental as the hacienda and heaven!!
HOUSE IS A FEELING...it's AMAZING how black music played in gay clubs in Chicago and New York became the global phenomenon it is now...it's amazing how as a 16 year old in 1989, I was jacking on the dancefloors of illegal parties in Manchester, England, whilst people were jacking across the pond too. We really 'got' house in the North of England, thanks to Mike Pickering and others. House really is a universal language...thank you Chicago, New York and Detroit. Big respect.
