Cold Turkey was John Lennon's second single, released in 1969. This song was written about John overcoming his heroin addiction. The bass on this song is played by Klaus Voormann, who of course was great friends with The Beatles throughout their whole career and was a great bassist himself, along with painting the cover for The Beatles album "Revolver". This songs main guitar riff inspired the main guitar riff for Paul McCartney's "Let Me Roll It", which then of course inspired the main riff for Lennon's "Beef Jerky" off of "Walls and Bridges".
