. . it's troubling at an important moment in the song. She has a formidable vocal instrument to work with and the listener so wants her to soar free. Her French accent is there as well, but mostly concealed. She could do much better and give us a truer English rendition . . . or relax, and sing it with her natural accent. Her voice has a beautiful sound. There are lovely changes in timbre. One could luxuriate in the sound of her, if it were a flawless performance. Intriguing artist.

I just started listening to her and I am very impressed. Her live performance of Oxygen in 1988 in Quebec just knocked my socks off. Having said that I think she has more than one problem in this performance. First thing the camera direction is atrocious for the song. You have to get the appropriate close-ups to punctuate such a personal song. It doesn't happen. One is left with the impression that she is internalizing the song rather than projecting. To my ears, she goes off key at 2:16 and . .

Ça c'est vraiment drôle, je regardais des vidéos avec Diane Dufresne dans Starmania aujourd'hui et là je suis tombé là dessus par hazard en regardant des vidéos d'un quelqu'un qui récitait du Francois Pérusse alors que c'était même pas écrit que c'était Diane Dufresne et en plus elle chante une chanson de Barbra Streisand que j'aime lol
