how long til one achieves the navy blue belt?

nice one! been learning this form for 2nd degree tkd testing, your video really helped, thanks

@Myderion I've seen some Chinese styles where they do, and if you look at naginatado, they hold the naginata both in the center and at one end or the other.
-
Bung hyung edan right?
-
@Myderion Good point. That's why we do that in Wing Chun. Kind also trains you how to use a spear. haha
-
whats the form their doing??
-
Your not supposed to full force hit your self. Generally it's easier to pul an object in towards your self, o some strikes come from there, once the staff is at your body, it provides protection. At your body it is also more difficult to disarm the person.

What is with TSD and TKD and all those similar styles hitting themselves with their weapon ? I study Kung FU and we do not do that. LOL I will never get it.
-
Well done! You showed a lot of focus and discipline by following through with your hyung, even when that little slip-up occured. Good stance and technique! Keep it up!
Most styles hold the staff in the center. Why not utalize the ENTIRE length?

For these forms i just think it is because it is the first set of forms your learn, as it gets you used to holding it (Just like the 3 basic forms, it gets you used to the idea of forms)
And i'm pretty sure that staff form 5 (I think, could be higher) uses both the end of the staff and the centre of the staff =]

Thats your Bong Hyung E Bu? Thats crazy, mine is alot different. Your style looks alot flashyer than ours (not a bad thing at all! i only mean it as a complement) excellent form!
do you do tournaments?

Lol you got any videos of your style of it?
Yeh we do quite local tournaments and then world tournaments once a year at the moment.

Thank you.
Only thing i can say, is that if i hold it nearer the middle, my spinning of the staff is better.
Just something i noticed myself.
Thanks for the tip =]
