Microsoft owns me money. Their software breaks hardware, for suck's sake. Their mistakes have cost thousands, maybe millions, of people to lose hundreds of dollars in hardware. GNU/Linux works better than any windows operating system.

Bill Gates was a thief from the start. He stole, err borrowed heavily from the work of John Kemeny and Thomas Kurtz (BASIC), and guess what the result was... MS-BASIC... THEN, get this, he had the temerity to send a letter threatening legal action against the Homebrew Computer Club (famous silicon valley club) for ... wait for it... Stealing HIS software for using and hacking BASIC... Yes, it goes all the way back to the 1970's.

MS has no 'IP' (note: IP is not actually a legal term) in Linux. If you think they do, show us the code. But they are working hard to infect open source projects with proprietary dependencies on Microsoft's alleged 'IP' (Mono, Moonlight et al). If Microsoft's claim was already true, they wouldn't need to be doing this, but they are. You only need someone to be your bitch like Novell, and a well placed whore like Miguel de Icaza, and you can do a lot of damage.
