K, Dr. Laura is a great woman. She hasn't said anything hateful or awful. What has she said? Make YOUR FAMILY the priority in your life. Gee, what a concept. And if she has made mistakes, what one of us has not? She never said you had to have a family. She says that if you choose to have a family, that is what comes first. And well, shes right.

Dr Laura needs to be slapped with a golden dick to the mouth to shut her up. She is trying to "help" by spewing bitterness and hatred while trying to justify her flawed past. The radio airwaves are being polluted by this radical anti Golden Girl. B. Arthur should slap this so called "Dr" with a palm of reality, this isn't 1955 anymore lady!

Somehow through prayer it would help to forgive your parents. When you hold in grudges you "project" that onto others rather than looking inward at your denial of the anger. I was in counseling faeva.

@tortillitas18 I don't think I implied that no woman should be a mother, or pay attention to their child. What about "Daddy, look at me!" or even "Mama Sally, look at me!" in such as case as Heather, who has two mommies. However, there's a big difference between being a good parent and being the stereotypical 50s housewife. If that's what you want to do, more power to you, but be proud of it as a *choice* not just "your place as a woman."

It's true what she says. A real man needs to provide for her children and wife. And mom needs to be home, because her children needs her. Ask any child in child care how she/he feels about mom dropping that child in child care! Research has demonstrated many times the necessity of a mothers love and attention towards her child(ren).

@Bardlettt women who lead us straight back to the stone age? Children need their mothers, research has shown that many times. I think that you need to educate youself in child development in order for you to understand the depth of a childs needs. Have you ever heard a 4 year old say: "Mommy look at me, look what I am doing?" That child needs mom to know that she is there and that what he/she is doing is important, amazing, mommy is watching! WOW!
