If the devout maintain that there is or are a certain number of God or Gods, they essentially stretch the idea of "numbers" and apply it to matters that go beyond time-space.

  • As I recall, there was even a school of thought the perceived geometrical patterns to be proof of god. The reasoning was that geometrical forms were perfect, and this perfection reflected god's perfection. In this case, the misuse of the relativistic term 'perfect' to define something that has never been quantified is doubly unfounded by association with something equally subjective in nature.

  • Religious beliefs are psychological in nature, requiring the believer to accept, as true, things which are not, or which cannot be, proven. All inconsistencies are ignored by believers. Believers frequently base their beliefs upon emotions (what they feel to be the truth), which makes the subject utterly unquantifiable. At one stage, it seems that people used the term 'perfect' to define god. 'Perfect' is relativistic, and a meaningless term if used without comparative references.
