Good lecture. but on the subject of just thinking about a female, doesn't Jesus also say, "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart"? So, just thinking about it is already sinning?

Thinking is an act of the will, which means it is something that is a choice. An attraction, by its definition, is not something that is thought about. If I choose to act on an attraction by thinking about it intentionally, then it is lust, and thus the sin that Jesus is speaking of in your quote

Also, another huge counter point... It says IN THE BIBLE.. that the bible is direct word of god that you need to follow... There is no pick and choose out of it. It either is or isn't, so who decides which is right? It's ok to hate gays but not ok to kill your kid for saying "I HATE YOU"..? Obviously OUR society has influenced you too much, god will be dissapointed. Follow his laws, for there is reasoning. Cattle w/ other cattle developed diseases... which SCIENCE cured, not god ;0

A lot of scientists during the scientific revolution were priests and Catholics...it sounds like maybe you get your history from the Indigo Girls and so all you think of is the Galileo controversy. Can you name one other scientist the Church harassed?

OK, we have your take on gay people. What do you say about transsexual people? Inter-sexed people? Bi-sexual people? Asexual people? Are they allowed to have relationships and then have the option to marry? Or are you only interested in what gay people do ?

Are you referring to people that have sexual organs of men and women or are to people who are attracted to men and women?

It's a CATHOLIC school!!! The gay community does not own Massachusetts or California, so you can't teach your theology in those schools...we own and completely pay for our schools, so we can teach what we believe.

"Hate speech" is also such a convenient charge that prevents you from having to actually talk about any of the issues raised in the video.

Actual people who actually struggle with same sex attraction who LISTEN to what the Church says hear no condemnation but HOPE, in their own words...so either you should actually trust them or commit the only mortal sin for secular atheists - not respecting the opinion of someone else.

What does it say of an age when hard sayings are like ice water to a man in the Mojave? I'm personally getting fed up with hugs and bunnies coming from the pulpit.

Thank you Fr. Seems like you are ahead of the Papal curve in light of His Holiness' recent button holing of the Church re: S. Paul and confrontation. Please continue.

Being celibate is a choice. In no way are we required to ACT upon our desires just because they exist.

Sorry David, but if someone is not smart enough to look at the physical evidence they have on their persons and see if they are not male or female then I do not think they need to be "designing" new genders. Just my take on that one, but then again I am uneducated..

(A little more:) It would appear that the Catechism teaches that homosexual persons, if they are not just "experimenting" - in the way that you craved chocolate or a lazy movie day - but truly and deep-seatedly and honestly homosexual, are not called to conversion but to chastity, as their honest homosexual "identity" (I use quotes because the Chatechism doesn't quite say it in that term) is a trial, perhaps brought to them by, indeed, God? (Naturally, I am not a priest. Nor a Catholic. Yet?)
