It is hell and I can't believe so few people know about it. I am 13 weeks lost 14pounds hospitalised 3 times so far, been on 4 different drugs and it's not getting any better
Im 15 weeks into a HG pregnancy. My first pregnancy. It is cruel when ppl tell you, its just morning sickness it will pass soon. Well. uhm..when??
I have been hospitalized twice and lost 10 kg. I didnt want to use meds, so I tried acpuncture, and it has really changed my day! I vomit a couple of times a week, its nothing compared to the hell I was in a few feeks ago! I dont have an apetite at all, but i force some food down.
I have to lie down most of the day so I wont vomit or feel nauseas
I am 16 weeks and still sooooo sick. I relate to what you are saying about waking up. First time I was sick when I would wake up, this time the nausea wakes me up earlier and earlier all the time.
This is my 2nd time around with HG. This time is much worse. I even wake up throwing up in the middle of the night. Zofran doesnt work for me. Im afraid to take anything else. I pray every waking hour for this to go away. Sometimes I would rather die than go through one more day of this.
I had hyperemis in January 1997. I lost 30pounds from January to Feb. I was hospitalized twice for about 6-8 days. The only treatment really was IV treatment of lipids and vits and minerals. Bland diet and ensure and no noise and no lights and not be socialable at that time.
I ended up gaining on 18 pounds back throughout rest of pregnancy. My daughter ended up being healthy weighing 6 lbs 8oz 19.5 inches.
I started prepregnancy at 172 lost 30 then gained 18 then lost 17 postpartum

there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am almost 8 weeks post partum, and recovering from HG. My baby is beautiful and healthy.
However I was told another pregnancy was not recommended.
