  • Gary has always inherited the greeny tone. He's got the soul and feel of Peter and in my humble opinion, is the the best work he's done over the years.

  • @Dogheadj Wise words Mr. Dodheadj!

Anyway, I think the most important thing after all is to enjoy his brilliant work as a musician...

  • @luthomdod I agree. I myself consider him underrated. I guess maybe our two points of view come from different things we've read or heard about him. I have seen some interviews in which he seems to be a regular Joe. But I've also read some articles that weren't so flattering regarding the way he treated, and his expectations of, his road crew, as mentioned above. Kind of like Buddy Rich and his band.

Regardless, he was a phenomonal musician, and I have nothing but respect for Gary.

  • @Dogheadj I understand your point, but I also recommend you to do a little research. You will find that most people consider him underrated. On his mind (look for the interview, it's actually about the gear he used)he was OVERrated by the public.

Since you supposedly are 57, you will know that in the 80s was considered by some people the best guitarist alive(Victims of the future, Run for cover etc),and still he used to say he was just another one on the music business.

    Kind of modest right?

  • @luthomdod Yeah, arrogant. If you watch some of his interviews, and learn a little bit about what he expected from his crew (crew, not band) onstage, he almost reached that status of a god, or master, in his mind.

Master he was. I love Gary Moore, and I probably listen to him more than any other recording artist, with the exception of Hendrix. I'm 57 years old, and have seen 'em come and go.

So he was arrogant. So what? I didn't dis him. Many musicians are arrogant, no?

  • @Dogheadj Arrogant? Excuse me?

  • one dislike ??? looking for the comic actor Gary Moore ???

  • @SHEMAMAN totally agree little more restraint, a little less flash / less prodution and it's perfection...I listen to the Greenie CD more than others...what a loss...no one can fill his shoes

  • @RedStrat - w/ respect - VERY Peter Green -

  • Gary was always great. As I understand, sometimes very arrogant, but always great.

  • This is very Santana-ish.
