The 7th Saga - Esuna Apprentice Battles at Lv80

This is the last obtainable level in the game (don't let the EXP fool you otherwise), so these are the final battles against the appretinces at Lv80. There's no LUX because he is my partner (or at least is after these), and no Kamil because I fought him for the Star Rune.

So this is pretty much it.

What's bad is if Lejes did not have that crap AI, he might be one of the most dangerous apprentices to fight, because his attack and magic levels would both be incredibly high, and he is pretty quick. Thank the high heavens they do not let Valsu use ELIXIR. He could easily be unbeatable.

Actaully, Valsu and Esuna would still out-edge him. They can double their power, and 900+ beats mid 500s. At 80, everyone has the same magic and speed, so that goes out the window.

And anyone that could use Heal 3 would be very difficult to beat overall. Having Elixir would make it impossible.

Man, I used to play this very often when I was younger, but I never got to lvl 80. What did you do to reach that point?

One key is NOT to recruit a partner until you are 80, this makes it go much faster and the partner will be superior.

The best way to get EXP is to fight the S.Brains on the Isle of Beore (that island with Luze on it), as they give the best non-boss EXP in the game.

How did you max out her stats?

Level manipulation. I would just keep reseting until I get a level-up I was happy with (yes, it's very time consuming, but it pays off). The same would apply to the seeds you get in the game.

As Lejes, I had the worst time with Valsu, and I had to beat him to get the Wind Rune. Finally learned a cheap trick - if I let a teammate die a certain way, I could start the battle with Valsu and then resurrect my fallen comrade. Even 2v1 he had an incredible edge and it took several tries.

True, although I never understood why they did not just let him use a BPower or Power spell (since everyone gets Heal2) instead of just trying to half your Guard.

Anyone with Heal3 without a MP recovery would just have to be whittled down. Unless you catch a bunch of misses on attacks at you, that could be a problem, as they could run you out first.

Oh, and I feel dumb about the Magic and Speed thing. I learned that one years ago. Heh.
