I guess you got no problems sitting on carpet while pulling computer parts in and out of the case?
you might as well have left the power cord plugged in because your are gonna cause static, but then again what do I expect if you got a extra workstation laying around for a kid to play with you probably don't care.
Still she is smarter than some pc techs I've worked with, probably noone bothered to explain to her that static and electronics don't mix well.
