I met him when I worked in New Haven Connecticut. He was passing through to
see the Dale Lama in Washington D.C. It changed my life and I am grateful to have spend a brief bit of time in his presence.

Maha Ghosananda was so wonderful. He would stay with my father monk at the Cambodian Temple here in San Francisco in the U.S.. I had the good fortune to have many long private talks with him. He had a way of saying things in a simple way that was at the same time deeply profound. He was not suited to the cold weather here and would wear four or five robes to keep warm. He looked like an orange cloth ball with a sweet smiling face on top. He was wise and kind and had such a calming way about him.

Dear Jendhamuni,
Every being in the world, especially the Khmers are in gratitude to the lifework of The Supreme Patriarch of Cambodian Buddhism, Samdech Preah Maha Ghosananda. His Holiness is the first monk to witness the plights of the Khmer refugees after the collapse of Khmer Rouge that the Vietnamese troops invaded Cambodia in the late 1978 that lasted through the troop withdrawal in 1989 with international condemnation and pressure.
His Holiness Maha Ghosananda is honor. KKC
Thank you so much. Yes, he is very Blessed. He speaks 26 languages, fluent in 15. I'm working on this new video as a tribute to His Holiness, hope to get it done by the end of the year. I have like 500 tapes and 1000 of photos infront of me right now. Don't know if I'll be able to finish them on time. He left me so much works, enough for my whole life...
