Bravo! Way to rock the sharpies dude!
see you lose hope when the things you love doing can no longer be done. because as you get older you start to have responsibilities and it will get in the way of your goals and sometimes destroy them and make your life harder and yours goals appear smaller and start fading away. i have lost 95% of my will on continue my art but and 5% is hope this is why i,m asking you 4 so much information. and desperate for a 2nd chance. i want to be a freelancer and do what i want and make money doing it.

I think nearly all artists procastinate to some degree. I call it "the artist's curse," in fact. I am no exception, sadly. And it does get hard to find time to draw as you get older. I own and operate a comic shop and so I don't always get to draw as much as I'd like due to running the business. As for practice, I sometimes doodle, and other times draw fully realized pics. It varies, as does the time I set aside to draw. (continued)

When I was younger, I could and did draw nearly every day. I never calculated how many hours that involved, but I'd say at least a couple or more. There's really no hard and fast rule as all artists work at different speeds.
If your heart is in drawing as a career, don't give up. Keep plugging away. I wish I could give you some advice to motivate you, but it's such a personal thing, that which motivates us, that I can't say what would work for you. Good luck and thanks for the comments. -Matt

tell me what motivates you to do this please answer me truthfully. what do you do everyday to get this good and don't tell practice tell in detail what are your daily routines. and do you do this off memory or do you have to see to draw that's my specialty but i lack skills i need help.

toonyfatninjas, first, thanks for the kind comment. I do draw from memory. The first time or two I draw something I will need some reference to know what a character looks like, but after I have the details commited to memory, I just imagine a scene and go from there.
Honestly, there are no daily rituals I do to draw at a certain level. It really is about practice. (continued)

I have evolved over time as an artist by drawing more or less on a constant basis. It is only by drawing and observing that an artist can really improve.
Thanks again! -- Matt
