Flight was smooth as glass, captain came on and asked flights attendants to take their seats because of reported turbulence ahead. We were flying lower than normal, presumably to try a different altitude from flights ahead of us and I was taking pictures of the mountains below - I could clearly see snow ripping across the peaks. Them BAM it started shaking violently and I switched to video. I realize a lot of the video looks like I'm just shaking the camera, but believe me, I was trying my best to hold the camera firmly on top of the seat in front of me. Take note when watching when people rise up out of their seats but are held by their seat belts. The first part of the video was the roughest. The flight attendant behind me hadn't made it to his seat and hit the ceiling and had a drink cart land on him - minor cut to him but no serious injuries to anyone. Flight continued normally to the east coast. My blood was pumping though.
