@ilikezappa You have posited your personal belief in polytheism, but you have failed to provide evidence for your personal belief that there could somehow be more than one God.
In reality, there is only one God, and he is not a Christian, so you lose.
You don't like the US? move to another country where they don't honor the one and only God -- oh yeah, nazi Germany doesn't exist anymore, so you're S.O.L.

One nation under God? Which one? There are thousands. The founding fathers certainly didn`t think the Christian one was worth turning the United States into a theocracy for. They had much higher ideals for the nation. This was only added during the paranoid 1950`s.

Had you just said what you had to say nicely, i.e., "It is customary for the person leading the reciting of the pledge to say 'we.'" without the "buy a fucking a clue" at the end, I would have had no right to call you a dumbass and you wouldn't have started the ad hominem war we engaged in. I admit I should have said right away what I'm saying now instead of engaging you, so I am also responsible, but you started it.

I'm not going to engage in an ad hominem war with you any longer. This all came about from me saying it was funny that Obama said "We pledge allegiance..." I thought it was traditionally "I pledge..." If you thought differently, why didn't you just say it nicely instead of calling me an "assface" or something like you did? It's not required.
