Entrevista a Leticia Moreno, violinista

Leticia Muñoz Moreno (nacida en Madrid en 1985) es una violinista española.
Comenzó su educación musical a la temprana edad de tres años en violín y piano con el Método Suzuki ofreciendo sus primeros recitales cuando tenía solamente cinco años. En 1996 estudió seis años con el legendario profesor Zakhar Bron en la Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía y en Alemania en Köln Musikhochschule.
A los diez años terminó su educación escolar y continuó sus estudios en casa porque la asistencia a clase no le permitía compaginar sus compromisos artísticos, ya que daba conciertos en toda Europa.
Posteriormente fue alumna de Maxim Vengerov en Saarbrücken y David Takeno en la Guildhall School of Music and Drama donde recibió la más alta puntuación en la historia de la escuela por su recital de graduación. Su último profesor fue el maestro Rostropovich a partir de año 2003.
A los diecinueve años obtuvo el primer premio en el concurso Kreisler tocando con la Orquesta Sinfónica de Viena el Concierto para violín opus 99 de Dimitri Shostakovich. Su interpretación fue calificada como «sin precedentes» por la crítica especializada, mientras que los medios de comunicación de Austria la definieron como «la nueva Martha Argerich del violín».
Hasta el año 2005 Leticia Moreno tocó un Pietro Guarneri de 1679 propiedad de la Stradivari Society de Chicago; y sigue teniendo programados conciertos alrededor del mundo: Austria, Inglaterra, San Petersburgo, Moscú con Spivakov, Italia, Sudamérica, México y España. Ha tocado con la Orquesta Sinfónica de Chicago y la Orquesta Filarmónica de Viena por citar algunos ejemplos.
El compositor español Francisco Lara Tejero le ha dedicado la composición Capriccio para Leticia (2005).
Leticia Muñoz Moreno is one of the most sought after violinists of her generation. Equally praised by audiences and critics for her exquisite musicality and expressivity, Leticia has been catching the attention of today's most important conductors.

Winner of five international competitions: The Henryk Szeryng Competition (2000), Concertino Praga (2000) Novosibirsk (2001) Sarasate (2001) ,and the Kreisler Competition, She has received numerous national and international awards, among them the Emily Anderson Prize 2005 of the Royal Philharmonic Society and a Martin Musical Scholarship from the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Ibla Grand Prize 2008 after which being offered a concert tour around the world performing in major halls. Leticia has been also member of jury in the Sarasate competition 2007.

Leticia studied with legendary Prof. Bron in Madrid's Reina Sofia School and in Köln Musikhochschule . She also received the advice of Maxim Vengerov in Saarbrücken Musikhochschule. In 2007 Leticia obtained her Masters Degree with distinction with Prof D. Takeno at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She also had the privilege to receive the last and most valuable music advices of Maestro Rostropovich the last three years before he died.

Since she is twelve, she has been performing with leading orchestras, including Wiener Symphoniker, Wiener Kammer Orchester, Mozarteum Orchester, Sinfonia Varsovia, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Lithuanian Symphony Orchestra, Latvian Symphony Orchestra, St Petersburg Camerata, National Philharmonic of Russia, Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra, Frankfurt Symphony Orchestra, Opera North Symphony Orchestra (Leeds), Besançon Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Symphonica de Palermo, Czec Radio-TV Orchestra, Slovenian Radio Symphony Orchestra, , Orchestra Symphonica Abruzzese, San Remo Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel Youth Symphony Orchestra, South Asian Youth Symphony Orchestra, Festival Orchestra of Bulgaria and all the major orchestras in Spain, most recently with Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona , Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia and Orquesta Nacional de España. She has collaborated with artists such as Krzystoff Penderecki, Maxim Vengerov, Gidon Kremer, Josep Pons , Walter Weller, Günther Herbig, P. Halffter , J. López Cobos, Pinchas Steinberg, John Nelson, Victor Pablo Pérez , Ivor Bolton, George Pehlivanian among many others appearing in some of Europe´s most pretigious concert halls like Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Wiener Konzerthaus, Rudolfino Theatre of Prague, London's Wigmore Hall, Bayreuth Opernhaus, Great Hall of the Philharmonie and Hermitage Theater in St Petersburg, Carnegie Hall, Performing Arts Center of Moscow or Franckfurt Opera Haus.
